SUMMARY:MaSDiV Policy Seminar (by invitation only)
DESCRIPTION:Initiating and Sustaining Cooperation for Innovation in STEM Education \nCollaboration between different stakeholders in education is vital for the implementation and mainstreaming of innovative STEM education at school. In order to reach large numbers of teachers\, all stakeholders in the field of Professional Development need to cooperate. In the European project MaSDiV\, for instance\, Ministry-University tandems from each partner country ensure cooperation between the policy and research level\, to achieve the highest possible impact. However\, cooperation is not always moving straight forward\, as different stakeholders have different aims\, agendas and schedules. In order to enhance cooperation between different stakeholders\, a particular policy seminar was set up as an international forum to reflect and exchange experiences in cooperation on both\, the national as well as the European level. \nThe Policy Seminar is part of the final MaSDiV conference\, Educating the Educators III\, hosted by ICSE\, ICSE Consortium and MaSDiV. During the seminar\, Mónika Kepe-Holmberg\, EU – DG Education\, Youth\, Sport and Culture\, will illuminate the importance of cooperation on the European level. Experts from policy\, research and industry will present recent models and examples of best practices for cooperation in Europe. Policy makers\, researchers and stakeholders in the field of Professional Development from all over Europe are invited to discuss and reflect various questions concerning the approach and implementation of successful cooperation: Strategies and communication\, benefits\, risks and challenges.
