11. November 2021 @ 14:00 - 17:30Free
The project GEM Consortium would like to kindly invite all interested parties to participate in the GEM Network Kick-Off meeting, taking place: November 11, 2 – 5:30 p.m. (UTC/GMT+1) virtually:
As a member of the Europe-wide network you will on the one hand be sensitised to gender-equitable STEM education, receive information on relevant gender topics (deficits in STEM/digital education, drop-out rates of girls, roles and barriers of girls, serious upcoming lack of digital skills, loss of innovation capacity for Europe etc.). On the other hand, you will help shaping the network with your contributions and become active yourself: share your experiences, best practices and knowledge, information on equal opportunities for girls in STEM/ICT, implement a variety of awareness-raising activities in society.
On November 11 we would like to inform you about the GEM project and the role of the GEM Network, as well as offer you to take a closer look on best practices in creating good learning environments at the example of Slovakia. You will have a chance to discuss interesting questions arising from the speaker’s presentations. Together with stakeholders from around Europe you will have a chance to think about other actions and activities that can inspire and support girls on their journey towards STEM and ICT professions.
