Empowering Girls to Understand their Role in STEM
The summer school for girls (age 12-14) from schools across Cyprus will take place June 22-25, 2021 in Nicosia.
Girls will be empowered to understand the role of STEM, and especially the entrepreneurial potential of the field. Female scientists, science communicators and educators have worked together to develop interactive activities around the topic of “Colours”. The girls will have the opportunity to learn about colours and their importance from the perspective of science, mathematics, technology, engineering and the arts and will collaborate on producing final products and present them. They also get to work with female scientists, do a field trip to an environmental centre and prepare their own digital advertisements to promote their products.
