New Open Schooling Project on Sustainability, Health and Digitalization
by Sabrina Deck
Our new Open Schooling project “ICSE Science Factory” on the topics of sustainability, health and digitalization has started!
What is Open Schooling all about? We would like to open up schools and network them with external partners, work together with families and interested citizens on an equal footing. We want to work on socially relevant topics to eventually find concrete solutions to real-life problems at school, in our own city or region.
How can this work? Over the next three years, ICSE will be working with partner schools and experts from science, companies and non-formal education providers. Together our Science Factory team will create regional networks and design various innovative and creative hands-on activities together.
We will also organize a career talks series where students can get to know (female) role models from exciting STEM professions first hand.
Twice a year, there will also be a large interactive fair where all participating partners and projects can present themselves, exchange ideas and have fun together.
You can also look forward to our new Science Lab: Starting in the fall, here you can try out exciting activities starting: 3D printing, escape rooms, forest experiments and much more await you.
So it’s worth staying tuned: Follow our ICSE channels for more info!
