IncluSMe Module 12 – Assessment in mathematics and science in multicultural contexts

Module 12 aims to introduce prospective teachers to various assessment procedures and help them develop skills that will allow them to respond to the needs of diverse pupils. Purpose, forms of assessment, and key issues of equity, fairness and social justice in relation to assessment practices are discussed during the course of this module.

About IncluSMe
This module is based on the work within the Erasmus+ project ‘Intercultural learning in mathematics and science initial teacher education’ (IncluSMe). Core to IncluSMe, which ran from  2016-2019, was the design and implementation of open access teaching modules. The project brought together 11 teams of higher education institutions for initial teacher education from across Europe and was lead and coordinated by Prof. Dr. Katja Maaß, International Centre for STEM education, University of Education Freiburg.

A total of 13 modules were developed to be used in higher education settings. Ready to use lecture presentations and accompanying notes for lecturers as well as worksheets for trainee teachers are part of every module.
